Wilo retains top EcoVadis rating

Wilo has been awarded the ‘platinum’ medal by the sustainability ratings agency EcoVadis for the fifth time in a row. It is also the third time in a row that it has been awarded the ‘outstanding’ distinction, with 91 out of a possible 100 points.
“Receiving the platinum award once again and achieving our new record score of 91 points are a clear indication of our unwavering commitment”, said Oliver Hermes, President & Global CEO of the Wilo Group. “For Wilo, sustainability is not an isolated area of activity but, like AI, a cornerstone of our group strategy – and therefore central to all our business activities. The fact that we have managed to improve on our already high score shows that we set the bar and are continuously evolving.”
The company says that, among other factors, this further improvement was driven by the external validation of its non-financial indicators in line with EU sustainability reporting requirements, as well as the company’s membership in the Partnering Against Corruption Initiative (PACI), launched by the World Economic Forum. Another key factor was Wilo’s sustainable supply chain management: The expansion of the supplier risk assessment and the measures taken to manage conflict minerals were viewed particularly favourably in the rating.
The EcoVadis ratings are based on criteria such as environmental awareness, labour conditions, ethics and sustainable sourcing practices. Companies worldwide use EcoVadis ratings to ensure that they themselves, their suppliers and their partners act sustainably.
