SCN signs European distribution agreement with KP Sensors

SCN has signed a European distribution agreement with Danish sensor manufacturer Kjærulf Pedersen A/S, making more than 90 products from its KP Sensors range available to customers in eight countries.

The agreement covers sensors for condition monitoring applications, including the detection of changes in vibration, motion, inclination and humidity that could indicate developing equipment faults.

KP Sensors’ devices process measurements within the sensor itself, providing warnings when monitored conditions deviate from expected levels. According to the company, this can help maintenance teams identify potential problems and take corrective action before equipment fails.

The range includes wireless and Modbus vibration sensors, motion and inclination sensors, temperature sensors and transmitters, thermowells, and humidity, CO₂ and O₂ sensors for refrigerated containers. Communication and output options include Modbus, Bluetooth and 4–20 mA.

Applications include monitoring electric motors, pumps, fans and compressors, as well as equipment used in wind power, marine and railway operations. The sensors can also be used for structural monitoring of bridges and in refrigerated containers.

Under the agreement, SCN will provide local technical support, including assistance with sensor selection, configuration before delivery and ongoing customer support.

Erik Ahlqvist, Managing Director of SCN, said: “Our customers build machines and installations that have to run for many years. They want to know that something is about to fail before it happens. KP Sensors makes that simple and robust, and now we can offer it all over Europe.”

SCN operates in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Poland, Spain and the UK. The company is part of Swedish technology group Addtech.

KP Sensors is the condition monitoring brand of Kjærulf Pedersen A/S, a family-owned manufacturer founded in 2004 and based in Taastrup, Denmark.
