New submersible sewage pump targets clogging

EKKI HOMA has launched LINUS HYNA, a new range of submersible sewage pumps designed to reduce clogging caused by rags, fibrous materials, plastics and other difficult solids.
The range uses a German-engineered Tri-Action System based on a three-stage ‘pull, shear and shred’ process. Debris is pulled into the cutting chamber, where tough and fibrous materials are shear-cut before solids are ground into finer particles ahead of entering the hydraulic section.
According to EKKI HOMA, the system is designed to help maintain continuous flow, reduce the risk of clogging and minimise maintenance interruptions in challenging wastewater applications.
LINUS HYNA is intended for applications including buildings, sewage networks, sewage treatment plants (STPs), effluent treatment plants (ETPs), industrial wastewater facilities and pumping stations.
The range was unveiled at IFAT India 2026 in Mumbai. EKKI HOMA is an international joint venture between India’s EKKI Group and German pump manufacturer HOMA Pumpenfabrik.
