New circulator combines electronic control with easier installation

DAB Pumps has introduced the EVOSTA 3 circulator pump, designed for use in new and replacement heating installations.
Building on previous EVOSTA models, the new circulator uses electronic control and a permanent magnet motor to adjust its operation to heating system requirements. This allows it to avoid operating continuously at a fixed output, as is the case with older fixed-speed circulators, helping to reduce unnecessary energy consumption.
The EVOSTA 3 has been designed with installation and commissioning in mind. A clear user interface provides access to settings and operating information, while its compact dimensions are intended to make installation easier where space is restricted. The design also aims to simplify electrical connection and set-up, supporting replacement applications where engineers may need to restore heating and hot water quickly.
An automatic degassing function is included to help remove air from the circulator during commissioning. This can be particularly useful following maintenance or when a heating system has been drained and refilled, where trapped air can cause noise and affect circulation.
The EVOSTA 3 can be configured to provide different levels of performance according to the requirements of the heating installation, giving engineers an electronically controlled alternative when replacing older fixed-speed pumps.
DAB says the combination of compact dimensions, electronic control and simplified commissioning makes the EVOSTA 3 suitable both as a replacement circulator and for new heating system installations.
