Domestic ball valve combines three devices into one

The new Caleffi FILTERSTOP Ball Valve integrates the functionality of a high-efficiency strainer, an isolating ball valve, and a safe maintenance mechanism into a single, compact device.

By reducing the need for multiple components, the FILTERSTOP is designed to save installation space, time and cost.

Featuring a fine 160 µm stainless steel mesh and an extra-wide filtering surface, the FILTERSTOP efficiently captures even the smallest particles while maintaining excellent flow rates and minimal pressure loss. The large filtering area promotes even dirt distribution and achieves a Kv of 7.2m³/h. Caleffi says this delivers outstanding hydraulic performance with minimal compromise on flow, resulting in superior system protection, extended component life, and reduced maintenance frequency.

Servicing the Caleffi FILTERSTOP is said to be quicker, safer and hassle-free compared to traditional methods.

Unlike conventional ball valves with bulky levers, the FILTERSTOP is isolated by simply turning its body, making it easier to install, operate and service in restricted spaces.

Installers can access the valve from the front and use the full-flow shut-off ball valve to fully isolate water flow. Installers can then remove the filter and perform maintenance without the need to drain the system or fit additional isolation valves.
