New submersible wastewater pump offers reliability in a compact package

DAB Pumps has launched the latest addition to its FX range of wastewater pumps, the FXS. This new product is a robust, compact submersible pump designed for residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural applications.

Built for lifting and transferring wastewater and sewage, the FXS combines the reliability offered by the FX range with a more compact design that makes positioning and servicing straightforward. It features a non-clog screw impeller that delivers excellent hydraulic efficiency, performing reliably even in narrow pipework or systems prone to blockages.

The FXS efficiently transfers wastewater containing solids thanks to its 50mm free passage and meets EN 12050-1 standards for wastewater handling. Durable construction comes as standard, including a double silicon carbide mechanical seal fully enclosed in an oil chamber, an anti-corrosion stainless steel motor shaft and a hard-wearing two-component coating for great protection even in aggressive environments.

Like other pumps in the range, the FXS uses a three-level structure that allows quick access to all key components. Spare parts are also universal across the FX range, simplifying service and reducing downtime. Compact, high-torque motors improve starting performance and help prevent clogging, while also allowing the pump to run without being fully submerged to completely empty tanks when needed.

The FXS joins four other models in the FX range, each built for specific wastewater challenges, from grinder pumps designed for narrow piping to super vortex impeller models that can handle large solids with ease.

DAB’s FX range is supported by smart system integration, including the electronic control panel, NgPanel, and DConnect for real-time monitoring and control. The NgPanel automatically manages water levels in tanks or wells, starts and stops pumps and protects the motor from overload. Linked to DAB’s Virtual Cockpit and DConnect app, NgPanel lets users check and control their pumps from anywhere, whether on site or at home, just like other smart devices.
