Six-time snooker world champion Steve Davis to headline the 2026 Pump Industry Awards gala dinner
The British Pump Manufacturers Association (BPMA) has announced that the 2026 Pump Industry Awards gala dinner and presentation ceremony will take place on the evening of Thursday, 19 March 2026, at the Hilton Hotel, St George’s Park, the world-renowned home of English football, hosted by a very special sporting icon.
Celebrating its 26th year, the Pump Industry Awards (PIA) continues to honour exceptional achievement, engineering excellence, and innovation across the pump sector, through the nine tightly contested award categories, the finalists for which will be revealed in early January.
Sponsored and supported by many of the leading brands in the sector, the 2026 event promises to be one of the most memorable yet – with a near record number of entries, an iconic venue, an outstanding programme, and an extraordinary special guest.
Special guest speaker: Snooker legend Steve Davis
The BPMA is thrilled to welcome Steve Davis OBE, six-time world snooker champion, celebrated broadcaster, accomplished author, and all-round sporting icon. Recognised as one of the greatest snooker players of all time, Davis dominated the sport throughout the 1980s, holding the world No. 1 ranking for seven consecutive seasons and becoming a household name through his trademark focus, professionalism, and competitive spirit.
Recounting anecdotes from throughout his illustrious career – ranging from his numerous world title triumphs to his unforgettable rivalries – Davis will take to the stage directly after dinner to entertain guests with his trademark wit, surprising stories, and warm humour. Known for his charismatic media presence following his playing career, he continues to engage audiences through television work, commentary, writing, and even his unlikely adventures into music and DJing.
Following his engaging after-dinner set, Steve will help present the 2026 Pump Industry Awards – adding a very special touch to this important celebration of industry excellence.
