Mains water conversion to boosted supply
An eight-storey building in Trafford Park recently ran out of water to the top two floors due to ever-decreasing mains pressure. This caused large-scale operational issues on site, and as such, a permanent solution to boost the water to the property was needed quickly.
Working with its customer Equans and their site team, Pressboost was able to locate a room on site that could be utilised for tanks and a booster set and quickly sourced the equipment needed.
Over the course of two days, a team member attended to modify the incoming mains to feed two new storage tanks and installed a Lowara GHV20 Hydrovar X Booster Set to boost the supply to the property.
The entire property now has a boosted supply and a future-proof solution for its water distribution.
A highly practical installation, the two tanks allow for future maintenance without disruption, the new booster set benefits from highly efficient IE5 rated motors, a flow through expansion vessel and valve and Hydrovar X inverters.
Thanks also to the enabling works undertaken by Equans, the combined installation provided a smart and swift solution for this site.
