The A2U now available in Duplex stainless steel

Following the launch of the A2U compact pump in 2023, Hidrostal has announced that the pump is now available in Duplex stainless steel, expanding its suitability for particularly demanding and corrosive environments.
The new Duplex variant features all media-contact components made from Duplex stainless steel, offering superior corrosion resistance, which is especially effective in chloride-rich environments, such as seawater applications and chemically aggressive industrial processes.
The use of Duplex stainless steel also offers enhanced mechanical strength by combining the best of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels, ensuring high durability even under extreme loads.
The exceptional resistance to wear and corrosion makes Duplex ideal for minimising downtime and maintenance costs.
Just like its standard counterpart, the A2U Duplex can be used in flooded or dry installations – with a few key considerations. On the Impellers R version, dry operation is possible with 50Hz and 60Hz operation. For Impeller S versions, dry operation is possible with 50Hz operation. Flooded operation is not suitable on the Impeller E version due to the lower thermal conductivity of Duplex steel. In this case submerged operation is required to ensure effective cooling and safe function.
The Hidrostal screw centrifugal impeller offers a 50 mm free ball passage, minimising maintenance and downtime.
Multiple connection options (thread, flange) allow for vertical or horizontal setups, aligned or 90° offset, while the pumps’ modular design allows adaptation to different voltages, speeds, and materials.
The pumps can handle up to 10l/s flow and 10m head, with IP68 protection, dual mechanical seals, and durable materials (NBR/FKM) which ensure long service life.
